1. Introduction
Welcome to Shalva ("Shalva", "we", "us", or "our"), a wellness marketplace that connects clients with independent, licensed Thai massage therapists for spa-based and home-visit sessions. By creating an account, browsing therapist profiles, or booking a session through our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use Shalva.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use Shalva. By registering an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will keep it up to date. Therapists must additionally meet our verification requirements before their profile is made publicly visible to clients.
3. Booking Services
Shalva allows clients to browse verified therapist profiles, view real-time availability, and reserve a session at a chosen date, time, and location (spa or home visit). A booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation is issued through the platform. Availability shown at the time of booking is not guaranteed until confirmation, as slots may be reserved by other clients in the interim.
4. Payments
All session fees are displayed in New Israeli Shekels (₪) and must be paid in full through our supported payment methods at the time of booking. Shalva acts as an intermediary facilitating payment between clients and therapists and may retain a service fee from each transaction. Prices are set by individual therapists and may vary by service type, duration, and location.
5. Therapist Responsibilities
Therapists listed on Shalva are independent professionals responsible for holding valid licensing, insurance, and qualifications required to practice massage therapy. Therapists agree to arrive punctually, maintain professional conduct, uphold hygiene and safety standards, and deliver services consistent with the descriptions on their profile.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate health and contact information relevant to their session, treat therapists with respect, and ensure a safe environment for home-visit appointments. Clients are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, injuries, or contraindications that may affect the safety of a massage session prior to booking.
7. Cancellations
Clients may cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking through their account dashboard. Cancellations made within the therapist's stated cancellation window may be subject to a cancellation fee. Therapists who cancel a confirmed booking must provide reasonable notice and, where possible, assist the client in rebooking with an alternative therapist.
8. Refund Policy
Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis in line with our cancellation windows. Sessions cancelled outside the eligible window, no-shows by the client, or completed sessions are generally non-refundable. Refunds for service issues, therapist no-shows, or platform errors will be processed back to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
9. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. Shalva reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms & Conditions.
10. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not use Shalva for any unlawful purpose, harass or discriminate against therapists or clients, misrepresent their identity or qualifications, request or offer services outside the platform to circumvent fees, or engage in any conduct that compromises the safety, trust, or integrity of the Shalva community.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on Shalva, including the logo, branding, design, text, and software, is the property of Shalva or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without prior written consent.
12. Limitation of Liability
Shalva facilitates connections between independent therapists and clients but does not employ therapists directly. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shalva is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from a session conducted between a client and a therapist. Our total liability for any claim relating to your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant booking.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Continued use of Shalva after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via email where appropriate.
